NetTradeX for Windows
NetTradeX PC trading terminal provides wide opportunities to open and close positions on currency pairs, place orders of various types, manage your own account and receive your account history. The terminal main functions are in context menus, which are called by right-clicking on the terminal information windows. A part of functions can be performed by commands and buttons, placed in the upper part of the terminal menu. You will be able to view the full description of functions in general NetTradeX user guide..
Opening a Demo Account
We recommend you to open a Demo account after registering a Profile. The advantage is that you will be able to manage your account and make requests for changing the account leverage and balance in case of need. However, it can be done without registration, directly from the NetTradeX.
Opening a Real Account
If you already have a Personal Profile (PP), then log in to your PP from the IFC Markets website by clicking the "Login" - "My Profile" button or by clicking the "Open Account" button, setting your PP login (equal to your e-mail) and PP password.
Adding an Account to the Terminal
To add the opened Real or Demo account to the NetTradeX terminal, you need to open the terminal, go to "File" from the main menu and choose "Add existing login".
Opening a Chart
To open a new chart, right-click on a trading instrument in the "Market watch" window, select "Chart" option and the timeframe from the context submenu. You can open a chart by the same option if you right-click on the instrument you prefer in the "open positions", "Orders" and "Sum open positions" windows.
Opening a Trading Position
There are several ways to open a trading position:
Closing a Trading Position
You can close a position in one of the following ways:
Setting a Pending Order
If you want to open a position at a price different from the current market price, you need to set a Pending order - an order to automatically open positions when the market reaches the preset price.
Setting a Linked Order
Orders, linked to open positions or pending orders, are called Linked orders. They fall under two categories - Stop Loss and Take Profit and can be set in one of the following ways:
Balance/Lock Execution Modes
For example, if there is a previously opened Buy position on EURUSD with a volume of 60 000 and a Sell position on EURUSD is opened with volume of 40 000 in "Balance mode", the result will be the creation of one summed Buy position on EURUSD with a volume of 20 000. The result of this operation, that is a closing a part of the position with volume of 40 000, is reflected on the account balance, which can be seen in the "Trade Operation Result(s)" window (if the option of showing operation results is set in the terminal settings).
Unlocking a Position
If there are two opposite positions on the same financial instrument, you can close them with the "Unlock positions" operation. If these positions are of different volumes, a new position will be created with a new volume equal to the difference between the volumes of the positions (taking into account the direction).
Setting an Alert
There is an opportunity to set alerts on Events, such as Target Price Level reached, Order activation, Alarm clock, etc.
List of Financial Instruments
The rates of the used instruments are displayed in the "Market Watch" window.
Setting Indicators and Graphical Objects
You can set Indicators and Graphical objects on the charts of financial instruments.
Working with Chart Templates
On the charts of financial instruments you may save the set Indicators and Graphical objects (with their current settings) and other chart settings. This is called a Chart template. The chart templates are stored on the user's PC with a name specified by the user. You may easily transfer the settings of one chart (indicators, objects and other settings) to another one through the templates.
Printing Charts and Tables
The terminal supports printing the contents of charts and several windows with table data. The option of Print and Print Preview are available for all document types.
Account history report
To form the account history report for a given period of time, select the “Account History Report” function in the “View” tab of the terminal.
Orders history report
To form the orders history report for a given period of time, select the “Orders History Report” function in the “View” tab of the terminal.
Information Window “News”
News in the terminal is turned off by default. You can enable news from the main menu - “Settings” – “Terminal” – “News”.
Creating and Trading PCI
Each user of NetTradeX trading terminal gets access to a unique technology, providing an opportunity to create Personal Composite Instruments (PCI), the variations of which are restricted only by the user’s imagination (new cross rates, ratios between various assets, currency indices, asset portfolios, portfolios for pair trading and so on).
Percentage Charts
The user has an opportunity to display the dynamics of the change of several (up to 10) financial instruments on one chart. The dynamics of each instrument is calculated in percents of the price change from the set moment over time (common to all instruments of this chart). Thus, all curves of this chart require only one percentage scale.
Synchronous Review of Charts
The Sync mode of chart review is for simultaneous review of the chart history on several windows (with various financial instruments and time frames).
