Použití

Bilanční objem se používá pro potvrzení trendu a vyhledávání možných bodů otočení ceny.

Potvrzení trendu:

Vzestupný trend se potvrzuje rostoucími hodnotami indikátoru;
Sestupný trend se potvrzuje klesajícími hodnotami indikátoru

Objevení příznaků divergence:

Příznakem slabosti vzestupného trendu je situace, kdy růst ceny do nového maxima nepotvrzuje odpovídající dynamikou indikátoru, je možné otočení nahoru;
Příznakem slabosti sestupného trendu je situace, kdy pokles ceny do nového minima nepotvrzuje odpovídající dynamikou indikátoru, je možné otočení nahoru.
