About Currency Pair
US dollar vs Turkish lira
Type: Exotic pair
When the previous Lira's value fell greatly (at that time the conversion was $1 to 1.5 million TRY), in 2005 a new version of the Turkish Lira was issued. Any global risk off environment may lead to Lira’s massive depreciations, because the economy of this country relies on foreign cash looking to earn short term profits on higher interest rates.
