Amazon Technical Analysis

The technical analysis of the AMAZON stock price chart on 4-hour timeframe shows #S-AMZN,H4 is retracing down toward the 200-period moving average MA(200) after hitting all-time high three days ago. The RSI has formed a bearish divergence. We believe the bearish momentum will continue after the price breaches below the lower boundary of Donchian channel at 220.05. This level can be used as an entry point for placing a pending order to sell. The stop loss can be placed above the fractal high at 232.90. After placing the order, the stop loss is to be moved every day to the next fractal high, following Parabolic indicator signals. Thus, we are changing the expected profit/loss ratio to the breakeven point. If the price meets the stop loss level (176.36) without reaching the order (173.17), we recommend cancelling the order: the market has undergone internal changes which were not taken into account.

Fundamental Analysis of Stocks - Amazon

There were reports today Amazon faces possible US strikes as Christmas looms. Will the AMAZON stock price advancing resume?

Thousands of workers threaten to strike during the retailer’s busy holiday selling season demanding Amazon.com come to the bargaining table with the Teamsters union. The Teamsters, which claim to represent 10,000 US Amazon workers at 10 facilities, have said Amazon has ignored their requests to meet to reach a contract, despite setting a December 15 deadline. On Wednesday, the union said workers at Amazon facilities in Atlanta and in San Francisco joined in favor of striking after workers in New York City, southern California and Skokie, Illinois, voted to authorize a strike should Amazon fail to bargain with Teamsters. The union has threatened to call a walkout at any time. While the union’s strike is unlikely to cause critical damage to operations of Amazon which employs over 700,000 workers at around 1,000 warehouses, expectations of a walkout in the final few days before Christmas that could negatively impact company’s revenue are bearish for company’s stock price.
